Seeking Expressions of Interest from Classically Trained Hatha Yoga Teachers

We are seeking a regular, ongoing yoga teacher to join our studio and teach Classical Hatha Yoga.

This role is suited to a teacher who values clarity, structure, and substance in their teaching and enjoys working with students who actively choose a no-nonsense, grounded approach to yoga.

Our students appreciate being taught how and why they are moving, breathing, and resting. They value alignment, anatomy, and intelligent sequencing over trends or performance.

Essential training & approach

Applicants must have completed classical-style Hatha Yoga training (200+ hours) with clear emphasis on:

• alignment and safe, intelligent sequencing
• applied anatomy and physiology
• breath-led movement and mindful transitions
• adapting postures for injury, ageing bodies, and mixed abilities
• teaching yoga as a practical, embodied discipline

Your teaching approach must align with a classical, grounded methodology rather than trend-based or purely experiential styles.

About our teaching philosophy

The studio is grounded in a classical Hatha approach informed by traditional yogic teachings and contemporary anatomy and physiology.

Our influence includes:

• Hatha Yoga (asana, breath, rest, and awareness)
• Raja Yoga (focus, clarity, and steadiness of mind)
• Practical philosophy that supports daily life

We prioritise teaching real people — offering variations, props, and clear instruction so students can move safely, confidently, and independently.

This role will suit you if you:

• enjoy teaching slower, well-structured, thoughtful classes
• value alignment, anatomy, and safe progression
• are confident teaching mixed abilities and ageing bodies
• prefer consistent students over drop-in trends
• teach with professionalism, reliability, and care

Additional training in anatomy, movement education, yoga therapy, or injury management is highly regarded.

It may not be the right fit if…

This role likely won’t suit you if:

• your training didn’t include strong anatomy and alignment education
• you prefer teaching primarily intuitive, experiential, or energetics-based classes
• sound bowls, loud music, or woo woo are central to your teaching style
• you’re looking to lead flow-only or performance-based classes
• you’re not comfortable teaching within a clear, classical Hatha framework

We deeply respect that there are many ways to practise and teach yoga.
Citta Flow simply offers a specific, grounded approach, and we’re committed to maintaining consistency for our students.

If your teaching is rooted in classical Hatha, embodied understanding, and respect for the body, we would love to hear from you.

Our studio in Kalamunda, Perth Hills opened late November 2025, and our beautiful community is growing. We are currently expanding our schedule, and looking to discuss opportunity's for either morning or evening class, plus weekends.
