Himalayan Yoga Journey
Delhi – Rishikesh – Jaipur – Agra
12–22 November 2026
A small-group journey to experience India with steadiness, clarity, and care.
Over ten days, we will travel together through Northern India — practising daily yoga, exploring sacred and historical places, and allowing time to absorb the rhythm of the country.
This journey has been thoughtfully planned so you can feel supported from arrival to departure, with experienced local guides, carefully selected accommodation, and a considered pace of travel.
What makes this journey special
01 / Daily Hatha Practice
Most days begin with steady, breath-led Hatha yoga.
The practice is accessible and thoughtfully structured, designed to help you feel clear, balanced, and prepared for the day ahead.
Morning sessions may take place on the banks of the Ganga, where the early light and quiet atmosphere offer a rare sense of perspective and calm.
Classes follow a gentle Hatha approach and are suitable for beginners as well as experienced students who value a considered, grounded practice.
02 / Cultural Depth & Exploration
Guided by experienced local English-speaking hosts, we will explore Rishikesh, long regarded as the home of yoga, walk to mountain waterfalls in the Himalayan foothills, and rise early for sunrise at Kunjapuri, overlooking the valley and distant peaks.
From there, we travel to Jaipur to experience its architecture and layered history, before visiting the Taj Mahal in Agra — a monument best appreciated slowly, with time to take in its scale, symmetry, and craftsmanship.
Each destination has been thoughtfully chosen to offer cultural depth, perspective, and a meaningful experience of Northern India.
03 / Small Group Journey
We will travel in a small group, with comfortable, air-conditioned transport and a considered pace that allows time to rest and absorb each destination.
Every detail has been thoughtfully arranged, with experienced local guidance providing cultural context and insight along the way.
Accommodation has been selected for comfort, character, and location. Breakfast and dinner are included daily, creating a steady rhythm to the journey and allowing you to focus fully on the experience.

Who This Journey Is For
This retreat is well suited to those who:
• Practise yoga or keen to try yoga, and value a steady, structured approach
• Are curious about India’s cultural and philosophical roots
• Prefer travelling at a considered pace
• Appreciate small groups and thoughtful planning
• Seek depth and perspective rather than spectacle
You do not need to be an advanced practitioner or an experienced traveller.
A willingness to engage, observe, and practise consistently is far more important than experience.
Why Travel to India for Yoga?
India is the birthplace of yoga. Practising there offers context and perspective that cannot be fully understood from a studio alone.
Morning light on the banks of the Ganga.
Quiet foothills beneath the Himalayas.
The rhythm of daily life woven with spiritual history.
In India, yoga is not separate from culture — it is part of the landscape.
Travelling in a small, guided group allows you to experience this with steadiness and support. Daily Hatha practice, cultural exploration, and time to reflect create a journey that deepens both understanding and practice.
For many, the experience shifts how they see yoga — and how they return to it at home.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Yes, you will need a valid travel visa for India. An E Visa is the easiest option and it can be obtained from https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/
There are many different Indian Visa websites, but they will charge an additional fee for their service. A visa should cost around $88.
-
You will need vaccinations to travel to India to protect your health. Best advice is to contact your GP, and check the Smart Traveller website for up to date details.
-
Yes. Many women travel to India every year, including solo travellers, and have deeply positive and enriching experiences. As with any destination, safety is supported by travelling mindfully and being well organised.
On this journey, you will be travelling as part of a small group, with an experienced local, English-speaking guide who leads the tour, and all accommodation, transfers and key activities arranged in advance. This removes much of the uncertainty that independent travellers sometimes face and allows you to relax into the experience.
We also choose locations, hotels and transport providers carefully, and we move together as a group for most activities. Rishikesh, where part of our journey takes place, is a well-known yoga destination that welcomes international visitors and has a calm, spiritual atmosphere.
As in any country, it is wise to follow normal travel awareness:
Dress modestly in public areas and temples
Avoid walking alone late at night
Keep valuables secure and use hotel safes where available
Follow guidance from your guide and hosts
Most students find that once they arrive, any initial concerns quickly give way to the warmth, hospitality and sense of community that India is known for.
If you have specific concerns, you are always welcome to reach out and discuss them—we’re happy to help you feel comfortable and prepared.
-
The yoga will be taught daily by Bronika, in a Gentle Hatha style, suitable for beginners and experienced yogis. Yoga is optional and you are welcome to join some, all or none of the yoga. This trip is for you, and there is no pressure or expectation for you to practice every day.
-
Yes. The journey is designed to have a gentle rhythm, with a balance of organised activities and time to rest or explore at your own pace. Most days include yoga and planned excursions, and there are also relaxed periods to simply rest and take in the surroundings.
All optional planned activities will be explained in advance, and you are always welcome to take time for yourself if you prefer a quieter day. This is your journey, and there is space for both meaningful experiences and deep rest.
-
This journey brings together two elements in a thoughtful way: meaningful travel and a supportive yoga experience.
An experienced local, English-speaking guide leads the cultural and travel side of the journey, sharing the history, traditions and local knowledge that bring each place to life. This allows you to experience India with depth and understanding, rather than simply moving from place to place.
Alongside this, the yoga and group space are gently held throughout the journey by Bronika. Classes are designed to support your body after travel, help you settle, and give you time to reflect and absorb the experience. The intention is not intensity or performance, but balance, connection and a sense of steadiness as you travel.
The result is a journey that feels both enriching and grounding—an opportunity to explore a remarkable country while also caring for your body, your energy and your inner space.
